Idiom
Idiom is a celebration of wine and words. The award-winning range of premium wines stems from the Bottega family’s Da Capo Vineyards, which are located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry's Pass, overlooking False Bay. The range consists of big, bold blends of noble varietals and single cultivar renditions of Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals, all uniquely expressed in a Cape idiom.
Description
A complex, medium to full-bodied example of barrel-fermented Semillon. A delicate orange blossom perfume with notes of yellow plum, passionfruit and tobacco leaf. A voluptuous mid-palate with hints of lime cordial, gooseberry and lemon cheesecake reveal Semillon’s character and inherent weight.
Food Pairing
Semillon works well with seafood, especially shellfish, pork, veal, chicken, game birds or dishes with cream sauces.
