Semillon

Semillon works well with seafood, especially shellfish, pork, veal, chicken, game birds or dishes with cream sauces.

The wine was fully barreled fermented and aged a further 10 months, before being lightly filtered and bottled.

Grapes were picked in early morning and transported to the cold container for overnight storage. The next day the grapes were first bunch sorted before being de-stemmed and then berry sorted. The berries went straight into the press, and the juice thereafter was settled for before being racked and inoculated for fermentation.

Idiom is a celebration of wine and words. The award-winning range of premium wines stems from the Bottega family’s Da Capo Vineyards, which are located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry's Pass, overlooking False Bay. The range consists of big, bold blends of noble varietals and single cultivar renditions of Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals, all uniquely expressed in a Cape idiom.
