Artist Series MCC Brut Nature

This Cap Classique pairs excellently with fresh oysters, seared scallops, or a citrus-infused ceviche. Its crisp acidity and complex flavors also complement creamy cheeses and light poultry dishes.

The grapes for this wine were sourced from Hazendal's estate vineyards in the Bottelary Hills of Stellenbosch. This region is characterized by diverse aspects, altitudes, and soils, influenced by coastal winds from False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Such conditions contribute to the development of grapes with balanced acidity and expressive fruit profiles.

The wine matured on its lees for seven years before disgorgement in 2024, allowing for the development of complex autolytic characters. No dosage was added post-disgorgement, resulting in a Brut Nature style that emphasizes purity and terroir expression.

Hand-harvested Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes were gently pressed to extract the purest juice fractions. The base wines underwent primary fermentation, followed by blending to achieve the desired style. Secondary fermentation occurred in the bottle, adhering to the traditional Méthode Cap Classique process, to develop natural effervescence.
