Grechetto Colli Perugini

Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs harmoniously with many dishes, fish and white meat. Great with sushi.

The vineyards are situated in the Colli Perugini wine district and extend over a hilly, plentiful and sunny territory. The average altitude above sea level, is 330 metres. The Grechetto vineyard has east-west exposure, on medium textured, clay-limestone soil. Density is 4000 plants/ha with a yield of 7.5 tons/ha.

Once stabilization is completed, ageing takes place first in stainless steel tanks and in the bottle for 1-2 months.

Harvest: early September exclusively by hand. Grape selection begins in the vineyard - where the grapes ripening is strictly controlled - and continues in the winery, on the grading machine. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature.

Goyenechea Winery was founded in 1868 by the brothers Santiago and Narciso Goyenechea. These Spanish immigrants commenced their business activity in Argentina by establishing wine and spirits stores in Buenos Aires. Later on they purchased an estate and winery in Villa Atuel to the south of the Mendoza Province. A few decades later between 1930 and 1940 the Goyenechea and the Arizu families planted vines and developed the largest vineyard in the world.
