Goyenechea Winery was founded in 1868 by the brothers Santiago and Narciso Goyenechea. These Spanish immigrants commenced their business activity in Argentina by establishing wine and spirits stores in Buenos Aires. Later on they purchased an estate and winery in Villa Atuel to the south of the Mendoza Province. A few decades later between 1930 and 1940 the Goyenechea and the Arizu families planted vines and developed the largest vineyard in the world.
Description
Colour: light straw-yellow with faint greenish hues. Nose: deep and elegant with fruity notes reminiscent of pineapple, banana, yellow peach as well as Scotch broom flowers and almonds. On the palate, crisp and fully flavoured, well-balanced, distinguished and with lingering after taste.
Food Pairing
Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs harmoniously with many dishes, fish and white meat. Great with sushi.
