Although the Durbanville area is renowned for its SAUVIGNON BLANC that excels under the cool conditions where it is grown mostly on the cool south-facing slopes, the range of RED WINES also benefit from the warmer valley outskirts and opposing northern slopes.
Description
This wine presents a rich and creamy nose with biscuit tones, alongside aromas of summer melon, almonds, and yellow citrus. On the palate, it is a full-bodied, concentrated wine with well-integrated wood spice, prominent citrus, and pineapple flavors that deliver a long, lingering finish.
Food Pairing
This Chenin Blanc pairs well with Alfredo pasta, blue cheese dishes, and spicy foods such as Thai green curry. It is also a great companion for grilled fish or creamy, rich dishes.
