Du Toitskloof Wines is a Breedekloof producer sourcing most of its grapes from vineyards within 10km of the cellar. With fruit grown across mountain slopes, alluvial soils and rocky sites, the range offers accessible South African wines shaped by regional consistency and everyday table appeal.
Description
Complex range of eucalyptus, spice, peppercorn and granadilla flavours are supported by subtle smoky undertones from 10 months maturation in French oak. A well-balanced wine with supple tannins and smooth finish.
Food Pairing
Go bold with kudu sirloin in a tingly black pepper crust or the kind of kitchen surprise offered by tender beef heart. Add spice to the comfort zone with oxtail tomato bredie and cinnamon dusted pumpkin fritters. Stay with Shiraz for dark chocolate brownies studded with Turkish Delight, tempering the sweet with soft cheese.
