Donkiesbaai on the West Coast of South Africa has been the vacation home to the Engelbrecht family for four generations. The grapes for this wine come from the small region of Piekenierskloof. The complexity of this wine comes from the unique Piekenierskloof climate which allows us to produce an elegant yet approachable wine.
Description
Vibrant, pale ruby. Intense fragrance of cranberry and strawberries, with perfume notes of hibiscus and rose petals with cinnamon. Light bodied with cranberry and strawberry creating a juicy mid palate. Cedar spice and paprika add a savoury note to the palate. Delicate tannins compliment the lively fruit and light body, with a refreshing strawberry flavour on the finish.
