Deetlefs Wine Estate, situated in the picturesque Breedekloof (Rawsonville), is the second oldest wine estate in South Africa under ownership of the same family, established in 1822 and celebrated 200 years of existence in 2022. Age old family traditions passed through the generations and an intimate knowledge of every facet of this estate can be experienced in our handcrafted, classic styled wines.
Description
Medium straw colour. Lees complexity with quince, white peach, ripe nectarine, delicate citrus blossoms and a hint of apricot. The wine has a fresh granny smith acidity on entry with a broad middle palate with some spice and lees texture. The wine shows a long pithy textured finish with load of complexity.
