Patronus

The 2022 Patronus has the characteristic Malbec purple hue when first seen in the glass. Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and black cherry leap from the glass, accompanied by floral notes of violet and hints of of purple spice. As this wine opens up, spicy layers of clove, black pepper, and a touch of vanilla emerge, enhancing its complexity. On the palate, a tart-currant opening is followed by the wine's broad, well-structured tannins which, while providing a firm grip are elegantly polished, contributing to a velvety mouthfeel. The finish is long and lingering, with the interplay of dark fruit, spice, and a subtle minerality leaving a lasting impression. Everything in this wine is beautifully equilibrated, with each component harmonizing seamlessly.
