The wine spends a total of 15 months in barrel.

Grapes are hand harvested in the cool of the morning and fermented on the skins. After pressing, the wine is racked to 225 litre French oak barrels of which 60% are new.

Constantia Uitsig is a historic Constantia wine estate focused on a small, considered range of South African wines. Rooted in one of the Cape’s oldest wine regions, the estate produces wines shaped by cool coastal influence, classic varieties and a clear sense of place.
