Ex Oppido Chardonnay

The Chardonnay grapes are grown in two areas, Robertson and Paarl. The climate is hot in the day and cool at night making it great for Chardonnay to grow. With a mixture of lime-rich and Granite alluvial soils give the wine the perfect balance of minerality, bright citrus and stone fruit flavours.

After fermentation the wine was matured for three months on the lees before final blending of the different components.

Grapes were hand harvested in two picking stages to build a well-balanced unwooded Chardonnay. Whole bunched pressed to get the best juice. Fermentation took place in a combination of stainless-steel tanks and concrete fermenters.
