The Chardonnay grapes are grown on Constantia Uitsig, with a Mediterranean climate with cool sea breezes from False Bay during the growing season. Soils are alluvial decomposed granite from the slopes of Table Mountain. The soils are deep, well drained, and have a high reflection rate.

Constantia Uitsig is a historic Constantia wine estate focused on a small, considered range of South African wines. Rooted in one of the Cape’s oldest wine regions, the estate produces wines shaped by cool coastal influence, classic varieties and a clear sense of place.
