Cederberg
Cederberg is a high-altitude wine estate in the remote Cederberg Wilderness Area, owned by the Nieuwoudt family for generations. With vineyards surrounded by rugged mountain terrain, the estate is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and other South African wines shaped by altitude, isolation and dramatic growing conditions.
Description
The Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a bold, structured wine that highlights its high-altitude origins from the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa. This vintage is noted for its rich flavors of black cherries, plum, and cassis, complemented by subtle hints of cedarwood and pencil shavings, thanks to its time in French oak barrels. The palate is vibrant and complex, with layers of dark fruit, polished tannins, and a long, silky finish.
Food Pairing
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled steaks, roast lamb with rosemary, or aged hard cheeses like parmesan.
