Cederberg
Cederberg is a high-altitude wine estate in the remote Cederberg Wilderness Area, owned by the Nieuwoudt family for generations. With vineyards surrounded by rugged mountain terrain, the estate is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and other South African wines shaped by altitude, isolation and dramatic growing conditions.
Description
High altitude cabernet vineyards that have a longer ripening period give rise to this phenomenal wine. Loads of blackcurrants with cedarwood undertones on the nose with a hint of smokiness and tobacco leaf, creating a complex wine. Good integration of oak with a velvety finish on the palate. A prime example of a well-crafted South African Cabernet Sauvignon.
Food Pairing
Beef short ribs and other braised beef dishes.
