Capensis is a family of three wines dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay. The name Capensis is taken from the Latin word meaning,“from the Cape,” and pays homage to its home in the Western Cape of South Africa, one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world Ancient geology and dramatic landscape form the foundation for Capensis, which celebrates the diverse and remarkable winegrowing potential of the Western Cape.
Description
Special consideration is exercised in the selection of each vine that becomes a part of this blend to ensure depth, finesse, and quality of the highest level is apparent in the glass. The 2019 Fijnbosch Chardonnay opens with aromas of lemon posset and gunflint. Bright and full on the palate, this wine boasts peach and lime zest notes complemented by crushed oyster shell minerality and salinity.

This wine would pair well with all kinds of seafood, chicken or turkey, especially dishes with a cream sauce.
