A family business and a French institution, the Duval-Leroy House has dedicated itself to the noble craft of champagne-making since 1859, when two families joined their passion and destinies. Ever since, Duval-Leroy has always been driven by a quest for high standards and innovation in every aspect of the business, from quality, consistency and certification to partnerships with sommeliers and chefs.

The independent house was the first in Champagne to produce a Premier Cru Cuvee, and their philosophy drove them as a pioneer of sustainable certification ahead of time, applying these principles throughout all their production. Their meticulous approach to winemaking and vineyard management expresses itself in their craft of exceptional Champagne. In this Olympic year, the house distinguished itself by partnering with an Olympic fencer Manon Apithy-Brunet, and dedicated excellence in the Art of Sabrage.

House matriarch, Carol Duval-Leroy, has spearheaded the company since 1991, becoming an iconic modern-times lady of Champagne, and can be credited with making the house what it is today: quality-focused and aspirational. Together with her three sons, Julien, Charles and Louis, Carol has forged a legacy of family ownership uncommon for the Cote des Blancs in the Grand Cru village of Vertus.

The Prestige Cuvee ‘Femme de Champagne’ embodies this spirit and force, in an elegant showcase, and is only released as vintage in Exceptional years - with the 2008 vintage to be released in the coming months. With a focus on the finesse of Chardonnay from their surrounding vineyards, their Cuvees offer a generous proportion of reserve wines for an ample expression – establishing themselves as a delicious difference in Champagne.
