The grapes were handpicked early in the morning and transported to Vrede en Lust in 500 kg bins. The fruit are crushed, pressed and settled in stainless steel tanks. After this, the juice is fermented in 225 and 500 litre French oak barrels.

Vrede en Lust is nestled at the foothills of the Simonsberg in South Africa’s most celebrated Franschhoek wine valley. The history of the farm dates back to 1688 and discloses a story of vision, passion and pride. Vrede en Lust is a family owned and managed wine estate.
