Ophthalmologist Anton van Biljon and his wife Julia feel both privileged and proud to be able to produce their own wine on their own property. Their small boutique farm in the Polkadraai Hills outside Stellenbosch has four hectares under vine planted with the five classic Bordeaux red varieties. These are vinified in their cellar into one quality wine Cinq by top consultant and red-wine making maestro Chris Keet.
Description
This wine makes a bold statement with its powerful structure and expressive fruit composition. The classic oak character is seamlessly integrated with the fruit and the fresh berry acid gives the wine vibrancy and purity of fruit. The firm tannins are in perfect harmony with the wine leaving a lingering fruit sensation and satisfaction.
