Trizanne Signature Wines was founded by winemaker Trizanne Barnard in 2008, with a focus on sourcing distinctive vineyard parcels from two contrasting South African regions. Cool-climate Elim provides Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon with freshness and definition, while the warm, dry Swartland is the source of her more concentrated reds. The range reflects a winemaking philosophy built around site, variety and the different perspectives each region can offer.
Description
Layers of earthy spice, cracked black pepper and dark black fruits like Bitou berries, unfold alongside savoury, meaty nuances and lifted floral aromatics. Subtle notes of toasted baked goods add warmth and complexity to the wine’s coastal-inspired savouriness. The palate reveals a velvety texture of blueberry fruit, gamey depth and peppery spice, framed by firm yet beautifully balanced tannins. Smooth, powerful and deeply expressive, this sophisticated Syrah carries both elegance and intensity, with the structure and complexity to evolve exceptionally well over time.
