Trizanne Signature Wines
Trizanne Signature Wines has been producing varied wines of great quality in the coastal town of Noordhoek since 2008. While winemaker Trizanne Barnard uses grapes from the cooler temperature vineyards of Elim to create fresh and contrasting bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, she prefers using grapes grown in the dry, warm summers of the Swartland to produce concentrated red wines. Sourcing and selecting vineyard parcels from these contrasting regions, and pairing them with the most suitable varieties have resulted in Trizanne Signature Wines’ four very distinct wines – an embodiment of a winemaking philosophy that is built on diversity and a search for unique perspectives.
Description
Vibrant oyster shell minerality gives this wine a fresh character that perfectly expresses its cool climate terroir. Notes of Granny Smith green apple, elderflower and pink grapefruit, with good salinity and pithiness throughout. The fresh and youthful acidity, structure and tension carries the aromatics well. This wine has depth and a long finish that adds to the quality, which is typical of these extreme vineyards producing fruit at just 2.5m above sea level, being the lowest altitude in the Southern Hemisphere.
