Trizanne Signature Wines
Trizanne Signature Wines was founded by winemaker Trizanne Barnard in 2008, with a focus on sourcing distinctive vineyard parcels from two contrasting South African regions. Cool-climate Elim provides Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon with freshness and definition, while the warm, dry Swartland is the source of her more concentrated reds. The range reflects a winemaking philosophy built around site, variety and the different perspectives each region can offer.
Description
Vibrant oyster shell minerality gives this wine a fresh character that perfectly expresses its cool climate terroir. Notes of Granny Smith green apple, elderflower and pink grapefruit, with good salinity and pithiness throughout. The fresh and youthful acidity, structure and tension carries the aromatics well. This wine has depth and a long finish that adds to the quality, which is typical of these extreme vineyards producing fruit at just 2.5m above sea level, being the lowest altitude in the Southern Hemisphere.
