Tannat

Tannat is thought to have originated in the region of Madiran on the foothills of the Pyranees Mountains in France. Traditionally used as a blending cultivar with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc it is only recently that this cultivar has begun to be appreciated for its single- varietal attributes. Tannat grapes produce robust wines with pronounced aromas of smoke and plum and with a full tannin profile, dense purple colour and smoky tobacco aromas. Browse our Tannat wine selection online and order the right wine for you.
