Survivor Wines
Travelling through the Swartland on the back of a truck, heading towards an auction, a Nguni cow knew a beautiful vineyard when she saw one and jumped off. She was appropriately named Survivor when the grower found her grazing in his vineyard. Pierre Wahl excels at creating powerful and elegant wines, choosing to showcase the cultivar’s fruit characteristics, embraced by an old-world elegance in structure and texture. A masterfully crafted fine wine brand that speaks to inner strength, roots, character and refined taste.
Description
The 2024 vintage of Survivor Terroir Chenin Blanc offers a vibrant expression of Swartland terroir. It presents bright aromas of ripe pear, honeydew melon, and a touch of citrus blossom. On the palate, juicy fruit and subtle oak blend perfectly, creating a fresh yet full-bodied wine.
Food Pairing
This Chenin Blanc pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Its bright acidity and fruit-forward profile complement poultry and vegetable dishes, while its subtle oak nuances make it a great match for creamy sauces and mild cheeses. Consider pairing it with roast chicken, creamy butternut, or camembert.
