Old Vines Chenin Blanc

Pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, roast chicken, pork belly and creamy pasta dishes. The wine's richness and freshness also complement shellfish, soft cheeses and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.

The grapes are sourced from mature Chenin Blanc vineyards on the historic Stettyn estate in the Worcester Valley. Situated at the foot of the Stettyn Mountains, the vineyards benefit from significant diurnal temperature variation, with warm days promoting ripeness and cool nights preserving freshness and acidity. The old vines produce naturally low yields, resulting in concentrated fruit and enhanced site expression.

The grapes are hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed before fermentation. A portion of the wine is fermented and matured in French oak barrels, while the remainder may be vinified in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fruit purity. Extended lees contact contributes texture, complexity and balance, resulting in a wine that combines richness with elegance.

Stettyn Family Vineyards is a historic, family-owned wine estate located between Worcester and Villiersdorp in the Western Cape of South Africa. The farm's history dates back to 1714, making it one of the oldest agricultural properties in the region. The estate was acquired by the Botha family in 1818 and has remained in the family for eight generations. The modern Stettyn cellar was established in 1963, with the first wines produced in 1964.
