In 2015 two Dave’s Wibberley and Nel set out to change the way people looked at a bottle of wine. Spider Pig Wines was the result based on the simple premise that great wine should create wine lovers rather than scare them away. Since then we’re all about producing quality and removing snobbery. Inviting engaging not intimidating. And as the demand for our wines has increased so have the many fantastic winemakers that we work with. So every bottle of Spider Pig has been made with a winemaker who shares this vision. A vision where what’s outside is fun but what’s inside is serious.
Description
A 3-Dimensional Red Blend is simply taking three important components of the nuance to a great recipe for wine: A great Winemaker – Duncan Savage, a colourful Marketing contribution – Dave Wibbs and then cherry topping it with an instrumental Sales Arm – Dave Nel. Then adding massive doses of this to the mix and let it waft away into existence. Inspired by 3D superhero comics and a lust for a good time, this wine was made in accolade of one of Spider Pigs partners David.W, who has a strong wind towards Bordeaux varieties. The remanence of Red and Blue are in recognition of the original 3D-glasses used in the movies and comic books. Our original plan was to have some 3-D glasses on the bottle and a vision 3-D effect. Our colour scheme include a prominent display of Red, White and Blue, hence the 80's effect. Since Duncan was also a 80's fan we created just the name 3-D Pig, just happens that all our names start with a "D" aswell.
