This wine pairs excellently with dishes such as seared game meats like Springbok loin, or with braised meats and rich, flavorful sides. It also complements cheeses and hearty vegetable dishes.

The grapes are sourced from the Western Cape, including regions such as Stellenbosch and Darling, which provide the ideal climate and soil conditions for producing high-quality red blends.

The wine is aged in French oak barrels, which adds subtle oak influences such as vanilla and toast while preserving the fresh fruit characteristics. The wine has an aging potential of at least 7 years from the vintage.

The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks with extended skin contact to enhance flavor extraction. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in stainless steel, contributing to its refined structure.

The Rupert & Rothschild partnership was formed in 1997 by the late Dr Anton Rupert of South Africa and the late Baron Edmond de Rothschild of France. Their vision and guiding principles were carried forward by their sons the late Anthonij Rupert and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild. Today the Rupert family and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild share this prestigious partnership in wine production.
