Francesco and Michele Montresor head the Ottella wine farm in the hamlet of Ottella near the town of Peschiera del Garda. However its most famous vineyards are situated in San Benedetto di Lugana. Ottella deserves a first class place within the Lugana designation thanks to its stylistic approach to wines centred on refined tonalities intense aromatic characteristics and pervasive minerality.
Description
Beautiful concentration of ruby red and garnet. Well-developed and broad on the nose with pleasing notes of ripe red-berry fruit; intriguing and stimulating overtones. Classy correspondence between nose and palate, soft, enveloping, with delicate texture and sophisticated tannins which endow the wine with a captivating fullness, while making it slide with velvety grace on the palate.
Food Pairing
Perfectly capable of matching the most flavoursome meats, it is especially enjoyable with elaborate first courses and savoury cheeses.
