A pale straw colour with a bright golden tinge. Soft floral and tropical fruit aromas such as honeysuckle and melon on the nose, as well as lightly wooded elegance with undertones of vanilla and spice. The palate is loaded with stone fruit, figs and a of hint citrus, which culminate in a crisp acidity and long finish. A truly well-balanced beauty that makes this a winemakers’ selection.

This wine is named after Attie’s great grandfather. Attie is a winemaker that is known for being both patient and adventurous and allows natural fermentation to take place when making his wine (meaning that commercial yeast wasn’t used). Known as one of the pioneers of the Breedekloof Makers Chenin Blanc Initiative, Attie was the first to receive a 5 star Platters award for his 2015 Carl Everson Chenin Blanc in 2016 made with grapes harvested from beautiful old vines planted in 1982. Expect stone fruit aromas.

A limited-release showcasing the ultimate expression of terroir and our seven decades of wine-making. Made from Chenin Blanc, one of the region's corner-stone cultivars, this multilayered white wine exudes an array of flavours complemented by a beguiling textural brilliance. Notes of citrus and stone fruit, zesty and luminal, are off-set by intriguing lines of almonds, hay and butterscotch. This full-bodied white wine aligns its bouquet of flavours with balanced, fresh acidity ensuring ageability.

Distinctive floral notes and aromas of dried peach, citrus and lime with a firm crisp acidity. Wooded in French and American oak, the wine shows elegant and delicate tannins whilst respecting the fruit. Pair with rich fishcakes and baby potatoes covered in sour cream and fresh chives from the garden or pork chops with crispy fat next to a wild rocket, apple and walnut salad. *Gilbert&Gaillard - 91 Points
