Neethlingshof Estate
Neethlingshof Estate has a long and rich tradition of wine making in Stellenbosch, the second oldest and most premier wine producing area of South Africa. The Estate occupies an incredibly privileged site with ideal natural conditions, soils, slopes, altitudes and climate to produce a variety of great wines. All the grapes for the Neethlingshof wines are grown on the estate and all the wine is made, matured and bottled in the cellars of the estate.
Description
Deep ruby in color, this Pinotage reveals aromas of black plum, raspberry, mulberry, dark chocolate, subtle white pepper, and smoke. The palate is deep and enticing, offering black plum, cherry, mocha, and toasted coconut, finishing long, structured, and earthy with layered complexity.
Food Pairing
Ideal with hearty fare: venison, oxtail, osso buco, Malay curry, grilled aubergine, portobello mushrooms, or dark-chocolate truffle cake. Also pairs well with aged cheeses such as Cheddar or Gruyère.
