Meerendal Wine Estate
The Vineyards of Meerendal covers an area of 50ha and consist of the noble varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinotage, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, including our Heritage Block of Pinotage, planted in 1955. Our Wine Cellar dates back to 1943 when 20 original concrete fermenters were built. It has been modernised over the years and now includes stainless steel tanks, French Oak barrels and a state-of-the-art lab for onsite analyses.

The Chapel Blanc Fumé Sauvignon Blanc delights the senses with a harmonious blend of citrus and tropical fruit aromas. A delicate hint of smokiness, a signature trait of Fumé Blanc, enhances the sensory experience. The palate unfolds with vibrant acidity, showcasing crisp green apple, ripe pineapple, and a subtle mineral undertone. Barrel fermentation imparts a creamy texture, while the finish is long and refreshing, leaving a lingering note of citrus zest and a touch of oak sophistication.
