Meerendal Wine Estate
The Vineyards of Meerendal covers an area of 50ha and consist of the noble varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinotage, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, including our Heritage Block of Pinotage, planted in 1955. Our Wine Cellar dates back to 1943 when 20 original concrete fermenters were built. It has been modernised over the years and now includes stainless steel tanks, French Oak barrels and a state-of-the-art lab for onsite analyses.

Meerendal's Barrel Fermented Chardonnay offers a luxurious taste experience, boasting rich aromas of ripe peach and toasted oak. Its creamy texture is complemented by flavours of butterscotch and vanilla, derived from careful barrel aging. This wine delivers a harmonious balance of fruit and oak, culminating in a refined finish.
