This wine shows poached quince and fresh apricots on the nose with some delicate florals and spice. The palate has fleshy yellow fruit and a savoury spice following through from the nose. There is great freshness of fruit and acidity that carries the wine and ensures great aging potential. The tangy fruit and delicate spice on the palate keeps the wine bright and moreish.

The two portions of Chenin blanc that make up this Chenin both come from bush vines planted in Stellenbosch. The biggest portion of fruit comes from Karibib in the Polkdraai region farmed by Jozua Joubert. The other portion hails from a block towards the Bottelary HIlls area on Geluksoord farmed by the du Bois family. Both portions were harvested by hand between 21.5 and 22.5 Brix. The fruit was transported to the cellar and spent the night in the chiller before processing the next day.
