The Dome Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir pairs well with lighter fare such as grilled salmon, poultry, or fresh salads. Its refreshing acidity and fruit-forward profile also complement lightly spiced dishes​.

The grapes for this Pinot Noir are sourced from the Helderberg region in Stellenbosch, where the cool climate and well-drained soils contribute to the balanced fruit and acidity of the wine.

The wine is aged in a combination of neutral barrels and stainless steel, allowing the fruit to shine without overwhelming oak influence​.

This wine undergoes minimal intervention during vinification to maintain the natural expression of the fruit. It is primarily fermented in stainless steel tanks, with some time in neutral oak to add subtle complexity while preserving freshness​.

Established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, Lourensford has a proud history as a world class fruit farm and the wealth of glorious Proteas point to our rich floral heritage. Fortunately, the winemaking tradition was revived when well known Cape business man, Dr Christo Wiese purchased the Estate in 1998.
