The Dome Pinot Noir

The grapes for this wine are grown in the Helderberg region of the Western Cape, benefiting from a moderate climate that enhances the balance between fruit and acidity​.

There is minimal oak influence, allowing the pure fruit flavors to shine through, though some aging in neutral barrels may be involved to add subtle complexity​.

The wine is crafted with minimal intervention to maintain its fresh and vibrant fruit character. It is fermented in stainless steel to preserve its delicate flavors​.

Established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, Lourensford has a proud history as a world class fruit farm and the wealth of glorious Proteas point to our rich floral heritage. Fortunately, the winemaking tradition was revived when well known Cape business man, Dr Christo Wiese purchased the Estate in 1998.
