Lothian Vineyards is an Elgin producer specialising in cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Rosé. Set beside the Palmiet River and a private lake in the Kogelberg Biosphere, the estate focuses on site-sensitive winemaking that reflects the freshness and restraint of the Elgin Valley.
Description
This is a Light plum red with attractive oak spices, red plum, orange and some oatmeal. Lovely ripeness of fruit on the palate, this has fabulous balance of juicy ripe fruits with dark chocolate, orange and strawberry and red berries with a crisp clean acidity, powdery but light tannins and undulating length of flavour on the extended finish. Delicious now but has the material to age well over the next 3- 5 years.

A great match with salmon or other fatty fish, roasted chicken or pasta dishes.
