Vineyard Selection Chardonnay

This Chardonnay pairs excellently with fish and poultry dishes, especially those accompanied by rich sauces. It also complements Brie and fresh cheeses.

Grapes for this wine are sourced from the Coastal Region of South Africa, particularly Stellenbosch. The region's climate and soil composition contribute to the wine's complexity and elegance.

This Chardonnay was matured for seven months in French oak barrels, with more than two-thirds being new. This ageing process imparts subtle oak characteristics and contributes to the wine's creamy texture.

The wine underwent barrel fermentation, enhancing its complexity and mouthfeel.

Kleine Zalze wines are marked by a classical structure and complexity matched by a vibrant flavour intensity. Discernibly South African in style, they are refreshing, beautifully balanced and well-suited to food. Our wines are made according to traditional methods with minimal cellar intervention, but supported by modern equipment.
