Our OBSCURA Red Blend 2024 is made from 62% Grenache Noir and 38% Shiraz, all fermented naturally in qvevri. The Grenache was destemmed, while the Shiraz went in as whole bunches. Fermentation began spontaneously after seven to eight days, with the cap punched down gently by hand using a traditional wooden tool, four times a day. After a total of 14 days on the skins, the wine was carefully drained off without pressing. The individual components were then left to settle naturally before blending and bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
