Kanonkop
The name Kanonkop was derived from a kopje (hillock) from which a cannon was fired in the 17th Century to alert farmers in outlying areas that sailing ships plying the waters between Europe and the Far East had entered Table Bay for a stopover at Cape Town.
Description
A limited edition Paul Sauer from the 2009 vintage which is specially labelled and packaged in a striking gift box to commemorate 50 years of the Kanonkop wine brand from 1973 – 2023. Full bodied, deep ruby red colour. A combination of the varietals give full bodied, deep ruby red colour. A combination of the varietals gives you more than the sum of the parts. Very complex bouquet with black currant, red berry, mocha and spicy flavours. Big structured wine with a refined line of elegance.
