Jean-Luc et Eric Burguet
Jean-Luc & Eric Burguet estate was formerly known as Alain Burguet. When Alain Burguet officiallly retired in 2011 the winery was turned over to the able hands of his 3 sons Bachelet-trained Jean-Luc and Gouges-mentored Eric and Alain. They farm biodynamically and their de-stemmed fruit is fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wines are bottled without filtration or fining.
Description
"This is decidedly more aromatically reserved with its nose of somber dark berry fruit, spice, game and earth scents. As is always the case, there is more size, weight, concentration and underlying material to the muscular flavors that culminate in a firm and backward but not hard or even youthfully austere finale. This built-to-age villages is worth checking out." AM
Food Pairing
Pair with a lovingly long-simmered coq au vin, hearty stews like beef bourguignon or a garlic-studded lamb shoulder roast.
