Malo-lactic took place in tank, on French oak staves before being matured in 80/20 % French and American 225l oak barrels for 12-14 months.

The grapes were cold soaked for 4 days prior to fermentation. During fermentation, the temperatures were kept at between 22-28°C.

The award-winning range of premium wines stems from the Bottega family’s Da Capo Vineyards, which are located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry's Pass, overlooking False Bay. The range consists of big, bold blends of noble varietals and single cultivar renditions of Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals, all uniquely expressed in a Cape idiom.
