Idiom is a celebration of wine and words. The award-winning range of premium wines stems from the Bottega family’s Da Capo Vineyards, which are located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry's Pass, overlooking False Bay. The range consists of big, bold blends of noble varietals and single cultivar renditions of Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals, all uniquely expressed in a Cape idiom.
Description
An elegant, medium-bodied Grenache-led blend. Dark and broody on the nose with savoury, meaty notes and hints of tar and liquorice. Red cherry and an iron-rich minerality (derived from clay and granite rich soils) dominate the palate. A wine with rolling red and black notes and a long, lingering finish.
