Idiom
Idiom is a celebration of wine and words. The award-winning range of premium wines stems from the Bottega family’s Da Capo Vineyards, which are located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry's Pass, overlooking False Bay. The range consists of big, bold blends of noble varietals and single cultivar renditions of Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals, all uniquely expressed in a Cape idiom.
Description
A velvety opulent wine made with the Cape's own grape Pinotage blended with noble varieties. Rich and intriguing aromas and flavours with exploding layers of red fruits with notes of hazelnut, dark chocolate and oatmeal. Soft tannins, dark red fruit and a long finish are hallmarks of this wine.
Food Pairing
Grilled or slow-cooked sausages, beef, and lamb all do a great job of bringing out the sweeter notes of Pinotage and bring out the wine's inherent smokiness.
