Groot Phesantekraal is a Durbanville wine estate where Atlantic sea breezes meet the warmer inland climate. With a focus on limited-production Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Pinotage, the estate produces characterful South African wines shaped by its north-eastern Durbanville site.
Description
The wine opens with a vibrant nose of bright red fruit—think raspberry and cherry—layered with enticing notes of allspice, vanilla, cinnamon, and a subtle hint of truffle. On the palate, it’s silky and smooth, revealing juicy flavours of raspberry and mulberry. A refined, linear acidity carries the wine to a long, elegant finish.
