Ernie Els
As one of South Africa's leading ambassadors and one of the most recognizable faces in the world of sport it is befitting that Ernie chose Stellenbosch to produce his wines. In 1999 the concept of Ernie Els Wines was born and with the help of award-winning winemaker Louis Strydom they produced the maiden 2000 vintage of Ernie Els - a 'classic' Bordeaux blend. The intention from the outset was to focus on delivering a quality product that could hold its own in the company of the world's finest wines.

Major Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch, South Africa
Bottle size:
750 ml
This wine exhibits a deep ruby hue with a plum core. The nose reveals brooding peppery fruit that transitions to cassis and blackcurrant, complemented by savoury, meaty undertones and hints of fireside and veldt aromas. The palate is rich with flavours of pomegranate, morello cherry, dates, and plums, interwoven with cedarwood and amber oil notes. The wine is bold and fruit-forward, featuring smooth, juicy tannins that lead to a well-resolved, fruit-scented finish.

Proprietor's Blend 2021
Red Blend from Stellenbosch, South Africa
Bottle size:
750 ml
Lustrous garnet with a ruby core. A fresh florality blooms, hibiscus, violets, a salted-fynbos breeze; all riding an undercurrent of incense, fresh cinnamon and spice. Hint of smoky graphite to the tail. The palate is energetic and bright, floated with silky damson fruit, plums, red cherries, detailed with oak-spice and woven through with sleek, succulent tannins to a perfumed finish.

Major Series Merlot 2022
Merlot from Stellenbosch, South Africa
Bottle size:
750 ml
Radiant plum. A spark of flint scented with fresh ash and the talc of lipstick, a boudoir perfume; before rich red and black cherries, plums and a lift of mint. Succulent, and a touch creamy, dark fruit unfolds laced with vanilla undertones. A tinge of blood orange freshness highlights the whispery tannins, ever so smooth from gentle oak maturation. Black cherries and ripe plums echo into the long, fruited finish.
