Pikantus

Erdinger Pikantus pours a dark chocolate / ruby brown colour with a compact, creamy head. On the nose there are fine fermentation aromas and roasted malt notes, with hints of dark chocolate, dried fig, caramel and subtle licorice. On the palate it has a rich, full body and a well-rounded malt profile, with pronounced flavour components of plum, dark chocolate, and a touch of sweetness balanced by restrained bitterness. The mouthfeel is silky, smooth, moderately carbonated and complex, finishing long, softly, and with lingering notes of roasted malt, licorice and residual sweetness.
