Collectors Reserve Promenade Pinotage

The Promenade Pinotage pairs exceptionally well with rich, robust dishes such as venison, slow-cooked lamb, and mildly spiced dishes. It also complements vegetarian meals like mushroom and sundried tomato bakes​.

The grapes are sourced from an 18-year-old vineyard on the Westerly side of the Durbanville valley. The block benefits from cooling ocean breezes and morning mists, along with ample afternoon sun, conditions that are ideal for nurturing Pinotage. This vineyard’s terroir is a vital factor in delivering fruit with soft tannins and balanced acidity​.

After being hand-harvested, the grapes undergo minimal intervention. The must is carefully managed to concentrate body and flavors. The wine undergoes fermentation and then is aged for 14 months in a combination of new and second-fill French oak barrels, imparting complexity and softening the tannins​.
