Forming part of the highest lying vineyards in South Africa the oldest farm in the Cederberg has been home to the Du Toit family for five generations. The cool mountain air and rocky soil create a unique Cederberg terroir. Collectively with David Nieuwoudt from neighbouring Cederberg Wines wines with a distinct style and character are produced.
Description
An elegant syrah expressing notes of cherry and mulberries with a hint of spice. Full-bodied, showing a beautiful balance between oak and fruit on the palate. A wine crafted to last. It is always great to add a touch of cloves or cinnamon to the sauce when shiraz is served.
Food Pairing
A dense chocolate dessert with a berry coulis will keep the red wine lover happy when dessert is served and they can carry on drinking the red.
