Donkiesbaai on the West Coast of South Africa has been the vacation home to the Engelbrecht family for four generations. The grapes for this wine come from the small region of Piekenierskloof. The complexity of this wine comes from the unique Piekenierskloof climate which allows us to produce an elegant yet approachable wine.
Description
Pale gold with vivid aromas of Seville marmalade and honeycomb. Silky sweet on the palate, revealing glazed apricots, candied citrus, and a hint of fresh ginger. Finely balanced and light on the finish.
Food Pairing
Works well with sweet chocolate or fruit-based desserts, as it does with more savoury dishes like a cheese platter, foie gras or even creamy poultry dishes and even sushi.
