Coastal Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon Blanc pairs wonderfully with dishes such as asparagus, pasta, fish, and poultry, complementing its fresh and crisp profile.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from distinctive vineyards within the Coastal Region, including areas such as Durbanville, Stellenbosch, Darling, and Franschhoek. Each region contributes its unique terroir, adding complexity and variety to the final blend.

The inclusion of barrel-fermented Sémillon contributes to the wine's ageing potential, with recommendations suggesting it can mature for over 10 years. Over time, the elevated acidity showcases a broader range of flavors and aromas, leading to a more complex tasting experience.

The wine underwent fermentation over three weeks at controlled temperatures of 15°C. Notably, 8% of the blend comprises Sémillon, which was fermented in new French oak barrels. Post-fermentation, the wine remained on the lees for five months, enhancing its texture and complexity.

Delaire Graff is a Stellenbosch wine estate on the Helshoogte Pass, where mountain slopes and cooling maritime influence shape the vineyards. Known for Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, red blends, rosé and MCC, the estate produces polished South African wines with fruit intensity, freshness and structure.
