Ideal with grilled or roasted red meats, venison, lamb shoulder, rich stews and aged hard cheeses. The wine’s structure and depth also pair well with dishes featuring earthy or umami elements.

Grapes are sourced from selected vineyard parcels on the Helshoogte Pass, Stellenbosch. The steep slopes, decomposed granite soils and elevated position contribute to excellent drainage, low vigour and natural concentration. Cooling afternoon breezes help preserve acidity and extend the ripening period, resulting in balanced, flavour-intense fruit.

The wine is matured in French oak barrels, including a portion of new oak, for approximately 18 months prior to bottling, allowing for tannin integration and development of savoury complexity.

Each cultivar is vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by extended maceration to build structure and depth. The final blend is assembled after barrel maturation to achieve balance, complexity and consistency of house style.
